Blossom Word Game
About Blossom Word Game

Think of a flower that’s also a brainteaser. In Blossom Word Game, you get one pistil (the center letter) and six petals (one letter per petal). Your job: make words that always include the center letter and only use the seven letters available.
How to play
- You’re given 7 letters - one in the center (must be used) and six around it.
- Build words of at least 4 letters.
- The petal with a yellow outline is a bonus letter; using it adds +5 points each time.
- There’s always at least one pangram (a word that uses all 7 letters). Pangrams earn a +7 bonus.
- Scoring: 4-letter = 2 pts, 5-letter = 4 pts, 6 = 6 pts, 7 = 12 pts, each extra letter beyond 7 = +3 pts.

(That yellow-outlined petal is D — bonus!)
Your target: find 12 words
Below are 12 valid English words that use the center A, follow the rules, and fit this puzzle’s letters. One of them is the pangram - and it uses the bonus D too.

bear

Strategy tips
Start by hunting for the pangram - it unlocks a huge bonus and often uses tricky letter combos.
Target any word with D (the bonus petal) whenever possible - +5 each time is huge.
Don’t stop at 4 letters. Every extra letter above 4 ramps up points quickly.
Look for common affixes or short endings (-er, -ed, -ay) that keep the center letter in place.
Example scoring (this puzzle)
Using the scoring rules above, these 12 words together yield 95 points. The standout is daybreak (an 8-letter pangram that also uses the bonus letter), which nets the largest chunk of points.
