About Walkable Cities

Most walking games make getting from one place to another feel effortless. Walkable Cities does the exact opposite. Created by indie developer Miziziziz, this unusual physics-based comedy puzzle turns something as simple as taking a stroll into a surprisingly difficult challenge. The game pokes fun at badly designed cities, sending players through awkward sidewalks, cramped paths, strange parks, and other obstacles that seem determined to ruin every journey.

Every Step Is a Gamble

The game's funniest idea is also its main mechanic. Your character balances on one foot and constantly rotates around it. Switching to the other foot changes the direction of that rotation, meaning forward movement depends entirely on timing. A poorly timed step can send you drifting sideways, spinning into a wall, or completely missing the path.

That makes every level feel less like a normal walking game and more like a physics puzzle. Players need to watch their character's movement carefully and choose the right moment to commit to another step.

The City Is Your Biggest Enemy

Reaching the finish line isn't enough. The game keeps track of every step, encouraging players to find shorter and cleaner routes. Along the way, bizarre hazards can make things even harder. An enormous police officer may block forbidden grass, while other sections introduce bouncing dogs, soccer challenges, birds, and strange creatures that can knock your character around.

Frustration Becomes the Fun

The best strategy is patience. Instead of rushing, players can learn the rhythm of the character's rotation and use walls or boundaries to steady their movement. Getting stuck may require a few quick corrective steps, although doing so can hurt the final score.

What began as a game-jam experiment became memorable because of its wonderfully ridiculous concept. Walkable Cities transforms ordinary movement into a test of timing, patience, and physics awareness—and somehow makes every awkward stumble part of the entertainment.
