Roguefort
About Roguefort
In Roguefort, survival isn’t about gold or glory - it’s about cheese. On a massive, hand-built continent, every wheel you craft or steal can shape your journey. Whether you’re wandering as a quiet homesteader or plotting as a night-stalking vampire, the world bends around the choices you make.
A World That Doesn’t Care About You
The map is enormous - absurdly so - and nothing is handed to you. You can carve out a life aging rare cheeses in damp caves, sail between ports chasing rumors, or take on contracts that drag you into dangerous territory. Five rival factions watch everything you do, and your reputation with them can open doors - or close them permanently.
Slow Turns, High Stakes
Movement is turn-based and deliberate. Every step, every action matters, especially with permadeath always looming. One mistake in a dungeon or one bad encounter on the road can erase hours of progress, forcing you to start over with nothing but what you’ve learned.
From Curds to Kingdoms
Cheesemaking isn’t a side activity - it’s the backbone of the game. You’ll milk animals, refine curds, and age your creations to increase their value. The better your craft, the more influence you gain. In this world, a perfectly aged wheel can be more powerful than a sword.
Hold the Line at Night
When the sun drops, things change. In the dedicated defense mode, you’re tasked with protecting your outpost against nightly waves of enemies. Planning and preparation become everything as you try to survive until morning.
Roguefort is strange, punishing, and full of character. It doesn’t rush you - but it doesn’t forgive you either.
