About Krillion

Krillion takes the usual trivia formula and turns it around. Instead of getting rewarded for naming the answer everybody knows, you get more points by coming up with a correct answer that very few other players entered. The rarer your answer is, the deeper you sink into the game's ocean.

Seven Questions, One Shot

Everyone gets the same seven trivia prompts each day. There is also a 15-second timer for each one, so there isn't much time to sit around searching your memory for the perfect response. That timer can be surprisingly stressful when the first answer that comes to mind is probably the same one thousands of other players are typing. A common answer will earn a small score, while an unusual but correct one can send you much deeper. Get an answer wrong or leave it blank, though, and you get nothing for that question.

Don't Settle for Your First Thought

The easiest way to improve is to question your first answer. If a prompt makes you immediately think of one famous person, place, food, or movie, try digging past it. A less famous example might be exactly what you need. It also helps to think outside your own usual frame of reference. Local companies, regional celebrities, older shows, obscure historical names, and niche subjects can all produce answers that other players overlook.

Chase the Krillion

The biggest achievement is answering correctly when nobody else does. That earns the "One in a Krillion" result, which is the kind of rare answer the whole game is built around. With only a few seconds to think, Krillion is as much about avoiding predictable answers as it is about knowing trivia.
